The former president of the United States, now 78 years old, proudly shared the wonderful news of his new grandson on social media.
On Tuesday, August 6, Bush posted a heartwarming photo on Instagram to congratulate his daughter, Barbara Pierce Bush, and her husband, Craig Coyne, on the birth of their second child. This exciting moment has brought so much happiness to the Bush family!
A New Arrival
Just a few days before, on August 4, Barbara and Craig welcomed their baby boy, Edward Finn, into the world. The couple already has a 2-year-old daughter named Cora Georgia, who is now a big sister!
In the touching photo that George shared, Barbara and Craig can be seen cradling their newborn son in a hospital bed. Their faces are glowing with joy as they gaze lovingly at little Edward.
“Welcome to the world, Edward Finn Coyne. @laurawbush and I are proud grandparents of our newest blessing, born on August 4 and lovingly named in honor of his great-grandfathers,” Bush wrote in his cheerful caption.

Aunt Jenna’s Joy
The happy news was first shared by Barbara’s twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, on Monday, August 5. Jenna, who is a co-anchor on the Today show, couldn’t contain her excitement about becoming an aunt again.
“My sissy had a little mister and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn! ❤️💗👼,” Jenna, 42, exclaimed in her Instagram post, along with a series of adorable photos that captured the special moments after Edward’s birth.
In one of the pictures, Jenna is seen feeding her new nephew, while another shows Barbara holding Edward as Jenna watches on with admiration.
A third photo features Edward peacefully resting in his mother’s arms, looking absolutely precious. Although Jenna didn’t share many details about her nephew’s birth, the photos clearly show the family’s joy and excitement.
A Peek into the Hospital
Notably, little Edward was seen wearing a cute hat from NYU Langone Health, which suggests that Barbara may have given birth at the renowned New York City hospital, as pointed out by Today.com. This little detail adds a special touch to the family’s joyful moment!
